Undertaking Defence Industry Engagement & Networking
Participating in various industry events relating to the Defence sector
August was a busy month for Chatham Square, with our team participating in a range of Defence industry engagements focused on current capability priorities, investment programs and opportunities for industry collaboration.
We attended the Land Environment Working Group (LEWG) 2026 in person on 17–18 August. Hosted by the Land Capability Division within Army Headquarters, LEWG is Army’s primary engagement with industry and provided updates on current and emerging land capability priorities and investment plans. The program included briefings from Army Headquarters, Land Systems Division and the VCDF Group, followed by classified briefing sessions on the second day.

On 19 August, we attended the Land Forces 2026 VDSN Industry Preparation Day, which provided industry delegates (pictured below) with insights to help maximise participation in the upcoming exposition to held in Parth for the first time during the first week of October. Briefings covered the event program and opportunities, the Victorian Government Pavilion, trade show guidance, as well as science and technology opportunities and Innovation Pitchfest activities that will occur during Land Forces.
On 25 August, we also participated virtually in the Defence Estate Capital and Sustainment Works Program Industry Briefing. The agenda covered strategic estate priorities, infrastructure updates, estate works and procurement opportunities, the Enterprise Estate and Infrastructure Program, Indo-Pacific infrastructure and nuclear-powered submarine infrastructure.
These engagements provide useful opportunities to network and stay connected within Defence and industry as well as being aware of emerging priorities across the Defence sector.
