Participating in the Defence Trailblazer Information Session on Commercialisation Pathways for Defence 2025

Defence Trailblazer is part of the Australian Government’s Department of Education Trailblazer Universities Program.

In partnership with industry, the University of Adelaide, and the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Defence Trailblazer is strengthening Australia’s sovereign defence capabilities by commercialising new technologies and solutions.

It also focuses on developing specialised knowledge and skills to equip the current and future workforce for the evolving needs of the defence sector.

Chatham Square recently participated in the virtual Defence Trailblazer Information Session on Commercialisation Pathways for Defence 2025.

This event provided an opportunity to hear from leading experts as they explored the journey of taking technology from idea to market, highlighted current opportunities within the defence industry, and discussed upcoming programs designed to accelerate growth through Defence Trailblazer and beyond.

More than 100 participants from across Australia attended the virtual event, which featured insights from the following speakers:

Representatives from start-ups, industry primes, academia, and program partners shared their experiences across a range of topics on the challenges and successes of commercialising innovation in the defence sector.
