Attending Defence Simulation Education & Training 2025

Engaging with the global Defence simulation, training and education community

Earlier this month, Steven Holloway was a virtual attendee at the Defence Simulation Education & Training (DSET) 2025 conference, held in Bristol, UK.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, DSET has established itself as a leading global event in the Defence, Simulation, and Training sectors. More than just a conference, DSET is a year-round community that brings together military, government, industry, and academia to collaborate, innovate, and solve real-world challenges in defence training and simulation.

The 2025 event highlighted the latest developments in military simulation, wargaming, training technologies, and educational tools through a hybrid format that combined live streaming, virtual networking, expo booths, and interactive sessions. Highlights included keynote presentations, technology demonstrations, and facilitated panel discussions – offering attendees key insights and opportunities for global collaboration.

Steven noted that  “…the hybrid delivery of the conference remains a key differentiator, enabling attendees – whether participating in person or virtually – to view session replays. This feature offers a significant benefit, allowing you to catch up on sessions you may have missed in your own time.”
